Activated charcoal is an amazing remedy that goes as far back as recorded history. It is so effective that it definitely deserves a place on the shelf of your medicine cabinet. Charcoal is safe and harmless. It will do you no harm, even if you eat lots of it. It is officially recognized as an antidote. The FDA gives it their stamp of approval as safe and effective for acute toxic poisoning.
Charcoal is a cleansing agent that is able to adsorb toxic gases, liquid toxic wastes, germs, and heavy metals. When it passes through your digestive system, it carries these toxins with it. That prevents you from absorbing them into your blood stream.
Adsorption is different from absorption. With absorption, something is attached into something else. An example would be some water that is sucked up by a paper towel. The water goes into the paper towel.

Honey may soothe coughs more effectively than over-the-counter medications, a new study shows. The study involved 139 children (ages two to five), all of whom were dealing with coughs caused by upper respiratory infections. For the study, participants received honey, dextromethorphan (a cough suppressant), diphenhydramine (an antihistamine), or no medication. After about 24 hours, scientists tested all participants for the frequency and severity of their coughs. Study results showed that the 2.5-ml dose of honey provided greater cough relief, compared to both medications and the control treatment.
Rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and antibacterial compounds, honey has been found to protect against sinusitis in past research. If you’re seeking a natural alternative to cough medication, you may also want to consider marshmallow and mullein (two herbs known to ease irritation in the throat).
Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a much feared disease caused by a virus carried via mosquito bites. Dengue causes hemorrhaging of the internal organs to a point that it causes death. Western medicine does not offer a cure for dengue. It merely says that treatment is supportive and all you need to do is pray that the dengue victim is strong enough to fight the virus.
But here in the Philippines, many people know and have attested to the fact that they and many others have been cured of dengue via a simple weed. This weed is called Gatas-Gatas in the province of Leyte. But in Butuan City they call it Tawa-Tawa.
